What is EHS?
Electrohypersensitivity (EHS), also called electrosensitivity syndrome, is a physical impairment due to human-made electromagnetic field radiation proximity exposure. Some common symptoms associated with EHS are chronic fatigue, sleep disorders, headaches, nausea, ringing in the ears, brain fog, skin rashes, and mood disorders.
According to the Electrosensitive Society, electrohypersensitivity is an environmentally-induced disability that has been around for the past 100 plus years. It has gone by different names including neurasthenia (weakening of the nervous system); microwave sickness, radio wave illness, screen dermatitis, electromagnetic sensitivity, as well as idiopathic environmental intolerance. Some call it rapid aging syndrome as this represents the symptoms most people experience who are sensitive to electromagnetic frequencies.
Many people are electrosensitive, but they do not realize this. As more doctors receive EMF and EHS training, they will be able to better inform their patients and help them to understand EHS syndrome.
